The mountain and city views, the flowers, the fountains, and the sunsets as seen from this simple but large neoclassical structure are simply gorgeous. If you've never been there, much less danced there, it is an experience not to be missed.
Sweet Challenge at the Memorial Day Picnic
6:00-8:00 pm Sweet Treat Participation
For those with baking and culinary skills in the kitchen, or a favorite bakery, bring your sweets to the Tango Colorado picnic to share with the many dancers who will be dining and dancing.
Sweet Treat Competition
For those who love a challenge, compete with other Tangueros and Tangueras for the honor and the title of "Sweet Champion". This is a wonderful way to support Tango in Colorado!
Contest Guidelines
Prepare and enter your dessert in the contest with a five dollar entry fee. Your name will be displayed next to your entry.
Anyone can vote for your dessert in the Tango Colorado ballot box. One dollar equals one vote. There is no cap on the number of votes (it’s a fund raiser), so you can "stuff the ballot box". You or anyone else can vote for your dessert. Winner, those with the most votes at the end of the milonga.
Note: Participation in the Sweet Challenge is independent of the picnic meal donation.
