Classes, Practicas and Milongas

A practice in Argentine Tango is referred to as a practica and a social dance is called a milonga (See Terms & Etiquette).
Brian Deb Tango Lessons

Tango Colorado sponsors two classes and practicas each week: Tuesday nights in Denver and Thursday nights in Boulder. Tango Colorado member teachers are some of the best in the country and rotate each month at each location.

Locations & Start Times

Tuesdays in Denver: Classes begin at 6:30 pm and are one hour in length. The size of the dance floor allows us to begin the practica at 7:00 pm, ending at 10:30 pm or a little later. Denver now offers both a "Beginners" Class and a "Beyond Beginners" Class, both beginning at 6:30 pm.

* The class pass allows you to prepay for four classes, which can be used at any time, or passed on to a friend. We know that when dancers buy the four-week ticket pass, they are more likely to keep coming back. Members know that friendships are made in the classes and it's a great way to build a sense of belonging. In addition, greater progress is made when people return consistently over the month, and we highly encourage first-time dancers to commit to a 4-week series beginning with the first class of the month, as this will build understanding and skill as the month progresses.
